Pocket

Project Summary

The traditional Hawaiian dish of marinated raw fish over rice, also known as poke, became all the rage on the East Coast in 2015. Pocket was a brick-and-mortar concept that planned to package the meal as a fun alternative for the salads-for-lunch generation. I agreed to take on the project because I wanted free food.

The visual identity was inspired from numerous things like simple East Asian textiles, neighborhood coffee shops, and LA beaches at dawn.
